In February of 2019, Period Kits was formally established as a nonprofit organization in Colorado. Over the last few years, Period Kits has grown distribution sites and increased the number of individuals we serve, spreading to Ohio and Minnesota.
As an organization, Period Kits believes everyone who has a period should have consistent and reliable access to the products they need and are comfortable using when they need those products. With this in mind, we distribute period kits consisting of either 1 or 3 months worth of product to those struggle to make ends meet right here in Ohio through our network of supportive community agencies. Geoff founded Period Kits Ohio in February of 2022. Geoff has worked in the nonprofit world for over twenty years and really focused on the issue of Period Poverty in the last four years. He is the founder of Period Kits Colorado and also helps advise Period Kits Minnesota. When Geoff moved to Ohio to help take care of his family, Period Kits Ohio was a natural step.

Geoff is a Case Manager for Homefull, and in his spare time, he enjoys camping, discovering craft breweries in Ohio, volunteering with Punk Rock Saves Lives, and cheering on his beloved Manchester United.
Jen has been involved with Period Kits since 2021. She is currently serving on the board as President. Her passion is pediatric health. She has been a NICU nurse for 24 years and has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 7 yrs. Jen has always been an advocate for kids and period poverty is both a physical and mental health opportunity to help the kids in our region.
Dana became involved in Period Kits in September of 2021 and is currently serving as Treasurer. She became involved when her brother relocated to Ohio and wanted to continue the mission of ending period poverty in his new community. Dana hopes to be a part of a solution that ends period poverty for young adults that often lack access and also suffer from the stigma around menstrual health. Dana is an Advanced Practice Nurse and loves dogs, travel, and spending time with friends and family.
Monica currently serves as Secretary for Period Kits Ohio. "How can you hear the stories and not want to help?" It's her goal to work with this amazing group of people to help end period poverty and remove the stigma around menstrual health. There are far to many people missing work or school due to lack of period products. After all, it's about health and dignity. Period.
Monica was a Hairstylist & Salon owner before returning to school at the age of 48. She obtained a degree in Health Information Management. Switching careers, she now works as a Researcher at the World's Largest Consumer Goods Company. In her downtime, you'll find her with friends & family, reading, traveling, and volunteering with the Down Syndrome community .
Brandy has been involved with Period Kits Ohio since Fall of 2021 and currently holds a position on the board. She wanted to be involved after learning about period poverty and how women in the U.S. struggle to provide sanitary products for themselves and their daughters. Brandy is a Registered Medical Assistant and works at Ohio Valley ENT as an Allergy Technician. She enjoys family time, traveling, live music and listening to podcasts.
Brande is an enlisted member of the Ohio Air National Guard as a Public Health Technician. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark State. She is passionate about giving back to the community through various volunteer efforts. In her spare time, Brande enjoys exploring Ohio’s State and City parks with her dog, Lola and discovering unique food venues and experiences.
Elisabeth is a member of the Ohio Air National Guard as a photojournalist. She owns two businesses in photography and social media content curation. Elisabeth has always felt called to advocate for women in a variety of ways. In her downtime you can find her traveling with her husband and three kids, creating art, reading books, or sitting back with a bag of popcorn and a good movie.
